On June 3, 2023 MassHire GNB Workforce Board sponsored a SkillsUSA leadership team building event for Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical (GNBVT) High School students at Mass Escape located in New Bedford. The event was a leadership and team building project between the current and incoming SkillsUSA Student Officers.
The MassHire GNB Youth Opportunity Expo, held on May 31, 2023, engaged hundreds of South Coast high school students to explore a unique array of employment opportunities, programs and community resources dedicated to assisting them on their career path this summer.
MassHire of Greater New Bedford Career Center is now accepting applications for the 2023 YouthWorks Summer Employment Program! This program connects young adults to seven weeks of paid employment during the Summer season and expose them to both growing and sustainable career paths.
The MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center is now recruiting employer worksites for the 2023 YouthWorks Summer Employment Program. Businesses within the SouthCoast serve as a host worksite for youth ages 14-25 for up to 7 weeks. Youth receive comprehensive career training and paid work experience at NO COST to the employer!
