This is an in-depth Emergency Medical Technician course in basic life support. Students learn about acute illnesses, medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, childbirth, rescue extrication, ambulance operations, splinting techniques, communication and documentation, medical-legal implications, AED/CPR, basic medications and their effects.
This is an in-depth course in basic life support intended for individuals who are income eligible or unemployed or and interested in pursuing a career in medical services. The course meets or exceeds current National EMS Guidelines and has Massachusetts OEMS approval. Students will earn 6 college credits upon program completion.
This Medical Assistant program will provide you with the skills you need to perform administrative and clinical tasks in a professional medical setting as a nationally certified Medical Assistant.
