MassHire Greater New Bedford recently hosted its annual Youth Expo, bringing together students, employers, community organizations, and workforce partners for a day of career exploration and engagement.
The Youth Expo provides young people with opportunities to learn about career pathways, workforce programs, educational resources, and community services available throughout the region. Through interactive exhibits and conversations with local organizations, students gained valuable exposure to opportunities that can support their future success.
Highlights of the event included a collaborative community art project, music from local DJ Fresco, and remarks from DJ Anghell, Co-Founder of Steam the Streets, who shared an inspiring message about pursuing goals and creating opportunities.
The event was made possible through a partnership supported by Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding and the state’s Connecting Activities program.
MassHire Greater New Bedford thanks all participating businesses, community organizations, educators, and partners for helping make this year’s event a success.
