Attention Local Employers! Free Event-Creating Successful Workforce Development Pathways

On behalf of MassHire Greater New Bedford Workforce Board Executive Director/CEO, Joe Lopes, local employers are invited to this free event in partnership with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

This half-day training and presentation will provide an overview of the CORI system including what is contained in an individual’s Criminal Record, how to interpret specific charges, dispositions, and information regarding policies associated with a MA CORI when reviewing an individual’s criminal record related to employment opportunities. Additionally, attendees will hear from a team of DOC and EOPSS staff focused on critical services and programming available to incarcerated individuals in education, vocational training, workforce development, case management/mentorship, and reentry, collectively working to provide incarcerated individuals with a successful path back to the community.
