The MassHire Workforce Development Boards from the Southeast Region are asking for your support in their commitment to grow the region’s Manufacturing Collaborative.  During these trying times in particular, this revitalized partnership will allow manufacturing, educational and workforce organizations the opportunity to unite and develop strategies and policies that will move the region’s advanced manufacturing industry into the future.

Southeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (SAMC)In this effort, aided with funding from the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, the consortium has rebranded.  The collaborative is now known as Southeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium or SAMC (pronounced “samcee”). This change was done in part to provide a more memorable acronym than the previous SMAMC, as well as to align its nomenclature with our advance manufacturing partners in the North Shore (NAMC).

The consortium has launched a new website, www.samcnetwork.org, that provides area manufacturers access to information on training, business development and other resources, and an opportunity to participate in advanced manufacturing efforts through a regional forum.  The site also includes a resource section addressing industry needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Area manufacturers are able to register as a partner online at no cost.  Registration includes a free listing of their company logo and link back to their website.

Additionally, manufacturing and organizations potentially interested in taking a more active role in the consortium can send a message through the website or reach out directly to their regional SAMC Key Contact at https://www.samcnetwork.org/contact-us/.

In this effort we are reaching out to ask your assistance by promoting SAMC and encouraging area manufacturers to visit and register as an advanced manufacturing partner online at www.samcnetwork.org/register.
