MassHire Job Fair Connects 117 Job Seekers with Local Employers

MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center welcomed job seekers and employers to a successful Job Fair held on June 11 at the Waypoint Event Center.

The Job Fair attracted 117 job seekers and highlighted the MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center’s ongoing commitment to connecting local talent with employment opportunities.

Ten employers from a variety of industries participated in the event, meeting with candidates and discussing current job openings. Employers reported strong engagement throughout the day and praised the professionalism and preparedness of attendees. The format of the event also allowed employers and job seekers to have meaningful one-on-one conversations, helping to create valuable connections and potential employment opportunities.

Several employers identified candidates they plan to pursue for open positions. The MassHire Greater New Bedford Business Services Team will continue working with participating employers and candidates to facilitate hiring connections and support employment outcomes resulting from the event.

The success of the Job Fair was made possible through the efforts of the MassHire GNB Career Center staff and the Business Services Team, whose planning, outreach, and coordination helped bring employers and job seekers together for a productive day of networking and recruitment.
