MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center provides local businesses the essential services to support their workforce needs, as well as a variety of related resources at no cost. Business Owners, Human Resource Professionals, Recruiters, and Departmental Hiring Managers can count on our Business Service Representatives to provide quality, efficient and personalized services to meet your workforce development needs.

MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center can provide the following services to businesses:

  • Posting job openings:  Employment openings can be posted by MassHire GNB Career Center staff on the State’s JobQuest website, making your open positions accessible to thousands of job seekers at no cost.
  • Job Fairs:  Job fairs, organized by MassHire GNB Career Center staff, provide an opportunity for employers to meet a large number of qualified job seekers.  Employers are able to recruit job seekers in an effective and efficient manner, including interviewing and making offers to candidates on the spot.  Employers may also have the opportunity to participate at industry-specific job fairs.

  • Use of MassHire GNB Career Center facilities:  Area employers can reserve conference rooms, resource rooms, and/or other areas of the Center for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring purposes at no cost.
  • Initial pre-screening of applicants prior to referral:  Based on the qualifications required for the position when job orders are placed, MassHire GNB Career Center staff can pre-screen applicants for job openings prior to referring to the employer.
  • Job Matching:  Staff at MassHire GNB Career Centers can match qualified candidates with employers’ openings. Job seekers work with Career Center talent development specialists, who can send employers the resumes of candidates that have the skills, education, and experience the employer requires.
  • Information resources:  MassHire GNB Career Center staff can provide information and guidance on funding for training/employee skills development, working with individuals with disabilities, Unemployment Insurance, Work Opportunity Tax Credits, and other topics.
