What is a Boat Technician?
A boat technician, also known as a marine technician, specializes in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of marine equipment and vessels. They work on a range of watercraft, including boats, yachts, and ships, ensuring these vessels operate safely and efficiently.
Program Highlights
- Engine Maintenance and Repair – Learn to service and repair inboard and outboard engines, including both gasoline and diesel
- Hull and Structural Repairs – Learn to repair and maintain the boat’s hull, including fiberglass, wood, and metal work.
- Students completing this program will be prepared for entry-level jobs in the industry and will earn the OSHA-10 & Yamaha Certifications.

Classes meet Monday through Thursday 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Requirements
- Ages 18+
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Basic computer skills (typing, logging in, app opening)
- Be present every day and on time
- Serious, committed, and ready for work
