Make a Difference in Education! Paraeducator Training Program Start your career in education as a Paraeducator with an opportunity for growth and advancement. The New Bedford and Fairhaven Public Schools Districts are prepared to hire trained paraprofessionals, also knownas paraeducators, who want to make a difference in students’ lives. This 1-month hybrid training program, followed by self-paced study, prepares you with the skills and certification needed to work in local public schools. What do Paraeducators do? Paraeducators support both the teacher and the student in a classroom. The training is designed to encompass the skills necessary to successfully support students and educators within the K-12 school setting.
