Step Into Education: Paraprofessional Training Program Includes 1-month hybrid training followed by monitored self-paced study with online tutoring and the Paraprofessional Classes start October 2024 Space is limited Registration Deadline 9/30/2024 What do Paraprofessionals do? Paraprofessionals assist in supportive services by: • Supporting English language learning Paraprofessionals play a crucial role in the learning environment by: • Providing group and individual instructional support • Offering behavioral guidance • Helping with physical and medical needs and facilitating the use of adaptive technology Paraprofessionals collaborate with teachers by: • Acting as partners in both general and special needs settings MassHire grants are for income-eligible or unemployed individuals who are seeking employment. Grants will only be awarded to those who agree to training related employment upon course completion and obtainment of industry certification. The New Bedford and Fairhaven Public Schools Districts are prepared to offer elementary or high school paraprofessional roles to all program graduates.
