HERE’S ONE WAY WE ARE CELEBRATING MANUFACTURING – HELP US SPREAD THE WORD
October 19 @ 8:00 am - October 24 @ 5:00 pm
First and foremost, KUDOS to Kelley French and her immediate team for pulling this off in just three weeks (Jeff Roberge, Anthony Wilson, (North Central) Jason Walker (REMAKE) and Adam Courturier (Quabbin Regional School District). Outstanding!!
The MassHire Greater New Bedford Workforce Board is honored to be celebrating MassHire Virtual Manufacturing Day with MassHire and DESE across the state by recruiting school superintendents in hopes of drawing as much attention as possible to the MassHire Virtual Manufacturing Day site that will be live for a three week period to provide a good foundation of all of the STEM careers in manufacturing. The purpose of this site is simple career exploration inviting everyone a glimpse into the exciting world of advanced manufacturing.
Region 6 is showcasing two employers from our region, AccuRounds in Avon and Factory Five in Wareham. Once on the site click on “Local Companies”. Listen to short videos from Governor Baker and Secretary Peyser to bring the event home.
All levels of the MassHire system have been strong partners with their “boots on the ground” working with schools to provide career awareness opportunities across industry sectors and highlight those most important to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Please take a look to see what the site has to offer to students of all ages, job seekers, parents, counselors and community based organizations clients. One really cool feature at the finish is students get a printed certificate.
